On 22 February, TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU), Inc (THI), as a TSUNEISHI factory in the Philippines, organised a river clean-up near the local Buanoy Public Market. THI has been regularly organising river clean-ups since 2012 as part of its social contribution activities.

In total, more than 110 volunteers from TSUNEISHI Group companies in the Philippines and local residents took part in the clean-up. THI conducts clean-up activities along rivers near our factories as part of our efforts to prevent river overflow and flood damage caused by torrential rains during the rainy season and storm surges. The number of participants has gradually increased since the activities began, with an average of more than 60 people taking part each time since 2023, and more than 110 volunteers taking part this year, the 13th year of the project. Wearing matching T-shirts from the CSR and social contribution activities, the participants worked together in the pouring rain to collect 86 bags of dry leaves, polystyrene and other plastic waste.

As a company that works together with local communities and society, THI will continue these clean-up activities and actively engage in social contribution activities in the future.
