【TSUNEISHI Group participates in corporate guidance for parents!】
On February 24, TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING, TSUNEISHI IRON WORKS and TSUNEISHI CORPORATION collectively known as TSUNEISHI Group, participated in the “OYAKAKU” recruitment event hosted by the Chugoku Shimbun at iti SETOUCHI in Fukuyama City. The event was a corporate guidance session for parents of high school students. The event saw the participation of 33 companies from the Bingo region, along with 356 students and parents. This provided a valuable opportunity for direct interaction with the companies, allowing for insights into their respective attractiveness and working environments.
【Recruitment activities for choosing a career path between parents and children】
In recent years, the importance of parents and children working together on career choices and understanding their guardians in the job search process has become increasingly important. In particular, the opinions of parents and guardians are an important factor not only in finding a job after high school graduation. Consequently, it is imperative for companies to enhance opportunities for direct communication with parents and guardians, thereby deepening their understanding of the company and facilitating more effective human resources recruitment.
At this event, each company showcased its industry’s attractiveness, job descriptions, and benefit packages. The companies then engaged in lively discussions with parents and students who visited their booths, providing an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of “OYAKAKU” (for companies as an acknowledgement and confirmation of their company to the parents of high school students).

The recruiter presented the shipbuilding industry as a lucrative and promising field to the 31 individuals who visited the company’s booth. The students, who had previously attended factory tours and company information sessions, came with their parents and listened attentively.
Visitors to the booth provided the following feedback:
“I could see that the company offers a good benefits package.”
“It was an opportunity to learn more about the shipbuilding industry, and we would like to consider it as a career option.”

Comment from recruiters:
“In our recruitment activities, we would like to further increase our contacts with parents in the future. We also recognised the importance of showcasing the company’s appeal not only to high school students but also to their parents.”
【TSUNEISHI CORPORATION : Initiatives, Responses, and Their Impacts】
A total of 25 visitors were in attendance (16 pairs), and it was encouraging to observe parents and children gathering information together, particularly the numerous parents of first-year high school students, who sought information about companies from an early stage.
Comments from recruiters:
“Many parents expressed interest in our booth due to their familiarity with TSUNEISHI Group through local publicity.”
“We need to improve our booth displays to increase awareness of the types of jobs available to high school graduates.”
At this event, parents and students were reminded of the importance of choosing a career path together. The three participating companies will further enhance information dissemination at school visits and company information sessions, as well as expand opportunities for both parents and students to deepen their understanding through factory tours and internships.
TSUNEISHI Group will continue to work with the community and supporting our future employees and their families.
