TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd. (Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan; Representative Director: OKUMURA Sachio) has signed a sponsorship agreement with Ms. OKAZAKI Haruka as a canoe slalom athlete in February 2025. Canoe slalom is a competition in which competitors compete both in their ability to paddle down a whitewater course and through a gate, and in their speed to reach the finish line. She competed in the C-1*1 canoe slalom (Canadian Single) at the Paris Olympics. She has won numerous national championships, including the Japan Championships, and has her sights set on the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Based on our corporate values of “Being one with the community”, TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING supports the community contribution activities of Ms. Okazaki, a native of Hiroshima Prefecture, through canoeing, and has decided to enter into a sponsorship agreement with the aim of supporting the young athlete. Through this sponsorship agreement, TSUNEISHI plans to support her activities, hold events such as seminars aimed at improving employee engagement through interaction with athletes, as well as canoeing and beach clean-ups as community contribution activities.
TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING continues to support the promotion of sports as part of its social contribution activities.
