Achieving the deadweight capacity of 99,990 MT, it is the largest among the TESS series with the accomplishment of wider beam and shallower draft as that of TESS98. The length and air draft of the TESS98 are retained to preserve the versatility.

Fuel efficiency and environmental performance

Versatility

  • ・Maintain the same length and air draft of TESS98 to preserve versatility.
  • ・Alternate loading is possible for high-density cargo, such as iron ore.
  • ・While the Continuous Service Output is derated, based on the data of the TESS98’s actual sea performance, the Maximum Continuous Output is set with extra margins.

Loading performance

  • ・Compared to TESS98, the deadweight capacity increased by approximately 3,000 MT at the same draft and by approximately 1,000 MT at maximum draft respectively.
  • ・Compared to TESS98, cargo capacity is increased by 5,500㎥, with a bigger loading volume of low-density cargo, such as grains.
  • ・In order to maximize the cargo loading capacity, independent stripping lines are installed inside the ballast tanks to minimize the ballast water.
