23 March 2026 – TSUNEISHI GROUP (ZHOUSHAN) SHIPBUILDING INC. (TZS) welcomed a visit from Mr OKADA Masaru, Ambassador and Consul-General of Japan in Shanghai, and his delegation.

Mr MURAKAMI Yoshifumi, President and Director of TZS, and Mr TAKAHASHI Manabu, Factory General Manager of TZS, provided an overview of the company’s history and current status. This was followed by an exchange of views on the current situation and challenges of the shipbuilding industry, including those in China.

Mr OKADA expressed his respect for TZS’s significant contribution to the development of the Zhoushan economy since its establishment in 2003, as well as for its continued support for local educational institutions and medical facilities.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured the shipyard and attended the launching ceremony of the WIDE KAMSARMAX bulk carrier.

In addition, on the evening of Sunday, 22 March, a reception was held with Japanese expatriates of TZS and representatives of TSUNEISHI-affiliated companies. In a friendly atmosphere, participants exchanged views on the business environment and the living conditions of expatriates.
