TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Welcomes Second Cohort of Employees at TSUNEISHI TIMOR SHIPBUILDING, UNIPESSOAL, LDA.

TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd. held an entrance ceremony to welcome the second cohort of new employees at company in Timor-Leste, TSUNEISHI TIMOR SHIPBUILDING, UNIPESSOAL, LDA. (hereinafter “TTS”) on 2 June. A total of 19 graduates from local universities, selected through a rigorous process of examinations and interviews, officially joined the company and celebrated the beginning of their careers alongside company staff and guests.

The ceremony began with a welcome address by Mr KUBO, President of TTS, who introduced the new employees. This was followed by a unifying rendition of Lemorai, a song dedicated to the people and land of Timor-Leste, sung by all in attendance.

In their remarks, the new employees shared their aspirations and sense of purpose:
“Today, we are honoured to join TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING as the second intake of TTS employees. We take immense pride and responsibility in becoming part of the shipbuilding industry here in Timor-Leste. It is our dream to one day see ships that we have designed sailing the seas. We will work collaboratively with our colleagues, striving each day to make this hope a reality. With each step forward, we hope to grow as individuals and contribute to the future of our country.”

The ceremony concluded with congratulatory addresses from Mr KIMURA, Ambassador of Japan to Timor-Leste, and Professor Domingos de Sousa Freitas of Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa’e (National University of Timor Leste). The event also offered an opportunity for the new joiners to engage with their senior colleagues from the first cohort, helping to foster camaraderie and shared purpose. Despite a mixture of anticipation and nerves, the new employees expressed firm commitment to their future roles and responsibilities.

Through TTS, TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING remains committed to supporting the development of Timor-Leste’s shipbuilding industry, fostering the next generation of maritime engineers, and contributing to the creation of new industries within the country.
