TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU) Holds Family Day – A Day That Deepened Bonds Across Borders –

25 July 2026 – TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU), INC. (THI), the Philippine shipbuilding base of TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd., held a Family Day event for its employees and their families.

Family Day is held every year with the aim of deepening employees’ and their families’ understanding of the corporate culture, supporting a healthy balance between home and work, and helping to create an environment in which all employees can lead more fulfilling lives. On the day, around 4,000 people, including employees’ families, took part, and the venue was filled with lively excitement.

Speech by Mr SETO Yasuaki, President of THI

In his opening address, Mr SETO Yasuaki, President of THI, expressed his gratitude to the families who support employees in their everyday lives, saying, “I hope this Family Day will be an opportunity for us to create wonderful memories together and deepen our bonds as the THI family.” He also welcomed the 49 new employees who have recently joined the company, together with their families, and said, “Enjoy the event safely, and let it become a source of energy and motivation to take on new challenges ahead.”

On the specially built stage set up at the venue, a magic show, a kids’ orchestra, an adorable mascot show, a lively karaoke contest, and a bingo tournament and grand prize draw with luxurious prizes were held, drawing loud cheers and applause from the audience.
The venue was also equipped with a train ride, a dinosaur ride, and game machines, where children and adults alike were seen enjoying themselves wholeheartedly.

In the food area, participants enjoyed fried chicken from Jollibee, the Philippines’ beloved national fast-food chain, along with lechon, a traditional whole roasted pig dish, plus snacks and cold drinks. Stalls selling cotton candy, waffles, coffee, and more also lined the venue, and smiles spread across the crowd as children and adults alike tucked in together. The event also deepened cross-border friendship between employees and their families, making for a heartwarming day.
