11 July 2026 – TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU), INC. (THI), the Philippine shipbuilding base of TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd., together with other TSUNEISHI GROUP companies, provided school meals and donated sandals at Manguiao Elementary School in Asturias, Cebu.

This annual activity aims to support the healthy growth of local children through meals and to contribute to improving their daily lives and school commuting conditions. While previous activities were mostly held at public schools in Balamban, this year’s event targeted Manguiao Elementary School, located in a mountainous area where geographic constraints limit opportunities for invitations to ship launching and delivery ceremonies.
A total of 180 employee volunteers from group companies in the Philippines, including THI, participated in the event. They served handmade meals and handed out sandals to approximately 300 children.

Ms Daphne Abejar, Trustee of TSUNEISHI FOUNDATION (CEBU), INC. (TFCI), said: “This donation of school meals and sandals is not merely material support, but an expression of love and care for the children. We hope that the children, who represent the future of our community, will remain mindful of gratitude, study hard, believe in themselves, and continue to grow. We also extend our gratitude to the volunteers and everyone involved for their dedication, and we look forward to continuing our joint efforts to fulfil TFCI’s mission of ‘Realising a Better Tomorrow’.”

The children performed a dance to express their gratitude. The event also featured energetic activities, including relay races and games, with volunteer employees joining in the fun. The warm smiles and vibrant energy of the children left a lasting, heartwarming impression on all the volunteers.

Along with THI, TSUNEISHI GROUP will remain committed to contributing to local communities and supporting the development of the children who will shape the future.
