23 April 2026 – TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU), Inc. (THI) participated as a sponsor, together with KAMBARA KISEN Co., Ltd. (KAMBARA KISEN), in the inauguration ceremony of Museo del Galeón in Pasay City, the Philippines. The ceremony brought together members of the museum’s Board of Trustees, sponsoring organisations and distinguished guests at a preview event held prior to the museum’s official opening to the public on 1 May 2026. Some exhibition areas are currently under development and are expected to be opened at a later date.

Conceived from the vision of the late Philippine Senator Edgardo J. Angara, Museo del Galeón presents the Philippines’ rich maritime history and culture, including the Manila–Acapulco Galleon Trade that flourished between the 16th and 19th centuries. Established to preserve and share the country’s maritime heritage with future generations, the museum features a full-scale replica of the 17th century Galeón Espiritu Santo, alongside exhibitions on navigation, trade and maritime industries, as well as interactive programmes introducing visitors to maritime culture and history.
