A Dash of Fun and a Lot of Heart at TSUNEISHI Engineering’s Family Day
TSUNEISHI ENGINEERING Co., Ltd., part of the TSUNEISHI Shipbuilding Segment, held its annual Family Day on 28 September at Sea Park Ohama in Fukuyama, Hiroshima.
The event aims to promote mutual understanding and unity between employees and their families. Except during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been held every year and marked its 23rd edition this year.
In addition to employees and their families, transferees from group companies in the Philippines, China, and Timor-Leste also participated, bringing together 81 attendees ranging in age from 1 to 71.
The programme began with an address by the company president, followed by a series of team games, a barbecue, and the ever-popular bingo competition — all contributing to a lively and enjoyable day. During the team competition, participants took part in a “pedometer shaking challenge”, filling the venue with laughter and cheers as everyone gave it their best effort and enjoyed the fun surprises along the way. The bingo game brought the excitement to a peak, with participants competing enthusiastically for prizes such as home appliances and premium meats.
During the barbecue, attendees enjoyed delicious food and friendly conversation in a relaxed atmosphere quite different from the workplace. Participants commented, “It was the first time I’d had a proper chat with colleagues from other departments about something other than work,” and “I really enjoyed meeting and talking with staff from our overseas offices.” The event offered a valuable opportunity for communication across departments, generations, and nationalities.
Through initiatives like Family Day, which encourage internal communication and enhance employee motivation, TSUNEISHI Engineering remains to fostering a positive, comfortable, and engaging working environment.
