TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd. is pleased to report the competition results of canoe slalom athlete Ms OKAZAKI Haruka during August 2025.

Competition Results: 2025 Canoe Slalom Japan Cup – Kyokuyo Series Round 3

・Date: 2–3 August 2025
・Venue: Oshu Isawa Canoe Course, Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture
・Event: Women’s Canoe Single (WC1)
・Result: 1st place
With powerful paddling and stable gate work, Ms OKAZAKI delivered a commanding performance, finishing well ahead of her nearest rival.

Competition Results: 2025 Asian Canoe Slalom Championships

・Date: 14–17 August 2025
・Venue: Xiasi Canoe Slalom Training Base, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, China
・Event: Women’s Canoe Single (WC1) / Women’s Kayak Cross (CXL)
・Result: WC1 –4th place (National), CXL –2nd place (National)
Competing against formidable international athletes, Ms OKAZAKI narrowly missed out on a medal in her main discipline, but gained valuable experience at this high-level event. In Kayak Cross – recently introduced as an Olympic discipline at the Paris Games – she advanced to the final and secured the silver medal.

Competition Results: 2025 Canoe Slalom Japan Cup Kyokuyo Series Final Round

・Date: 23–24 August 2025
・Venue: Abu River Special Canoe Course, Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture
・Event: Women’s Canoe Single (WC1)
・Result: 1st place
Maintaining composure throughout the competition, Ms OKAZAKI secured back-to-back national victories with a flawless, penalty-free final run.

Season Standing and World Championships Selection

Based on these results, selections were conducted for the 2025 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships (29 September – 4 October, Australia). Although Ms OKAZAKI did not qualify for this occasion, her August performance secured her the top position in the 2025 national season rankings.

Upcoming Competitions

Ms OKAZAKI’s next challenge will be at the 79th National Sports Festival Canoe Slalom Competition, to be held from 3–6 October 2025 at the Setagawa Special Canoe Stadium in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture.
