Promoting the benefits system of male employees’ taking childcare leave

TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Group introduces various benefits systems to support our employees, both male and female to realize their work-life balance between job and childcare. Especially for male employees, in recent years we have been engaging in providing a workplace that enables them to take childcare leave easily even before the revision of the Child Care and Family Care Leave Law. We distribute the outline materials about childcare leave to male employees who will become fathers of the babies being born and shared the example information about the childcare leave being taken by other male employees. We provide male employees with special leave to accompany the birth of their spouse’s babies in addition to childcare leave. We also create an environment where male employees feel free to consult.


The comments received from the male employees who have taken the childcare leave for two months between 2021 and 2022 are indicated as below.
・Because it is difficult to get support from my parents who live far away due to the COVID-19, owing to the childcare leave system, I was able to support my family by actually participating in childcare activities during the leave period.
