TZS was awarded the “Waste-free Factory” by Chinese government

In October 2022, TSUNEISHI GROUP (ZHOUSHAN) SHIPBUILDING

(TZS) was awarded the “Waste-free Factory” by Chinese government

and became the first “Waste-free Factory” in Daishan County.

In February 2022, Zhejiang Province issued a project about

constructing “Waste-free City” throughout the province, targeting

at the realization of a green economy and the construction of a green

society. TZS has participated actively in the project and has

implemented various initiatives related.

In line with the “Waste-free Factory” requirements, TZS worked to

realize a factory operation with as little waste as possible by taking

environmentally friendly measures such as solid waste control, waste

classification, waste oil recycling, wood waste recycling, detailed

management of paint inventory, pretreatment coating process

improvement, plastic recycling, and solar power generation.

In an interview with local media, President Jiro Sato said, “Since

my first visit to Zhoushan over a decade ago up to the present,

I feel quite surprised by the changes that have taken place in China.

The efforts have been put into the prevention of environmental

pollution while the civilization and economy have kept on developing greatly.

I am very pleased that TZS has been recognized as the Waste-free Factory

by Zhejiang Province Government and is able to contribute to the construction

of a green society.”

We will continue to cooperate with local communities and contribute

to the development of a sustainable society.
