The Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Group is committed in the efficient use of water resources throughout all our factories to preserve limited fresh water resources. As a shipbuilder, it is our responsibility to ensure the preservation of fresh water supplies as well as the prevention of marine pollution for a sound material-cycle society.
■ Seawater Circulation System
The Tsuneishi Factory has adopted a Seawater Circulation System as a buffer when berthing a ship under construction at the quay. The shift from the conventional Industrial Water Circulation to this Seawater Circulation System yielded a significant reduction in the amount of industrial water that our factory consumed.

■Rain Water Harvsting
Our Xiushan Factory in China uses rainwater harvested from a neighboring agricultural dam for dock cleaning and ballast water supply. The dam has remained idle for sometime and can harvest approximately 100,000 m3 of rain water annuall.
