Launch of a Concurrent Design System

■ Building Design System
Design Headquarters at Tsuneishi Shipbuilding has built a concurrent design system*. Presently, we have 4 designing bases — Headquarters (Tsuneishi Shipbuilding), Philippines (TTSP), Shanghai (TSSD), and Xiushan (TSSD). Work efficiency has dramatically improved by this digitalized concurrent design system. With this, our design work is now operated online, without need for a paper trail. Our drawings are processed in 3D format, allowing real-time communication on designs and easier progress management. It also improves the productivity of our design engineers by tracking and adjusting their workload via our workload detective function. The digitalized concurrent design system has allowed us to work remotely, especially under this COVID-19 pandemic.  We have been able to achieve work targets and performances while preventing the spread of the coronavirus infection by working from home.
