Four 2nd-year students from Hiroshima Prefectural Shonan Senior
High School visited TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING to participate in
corporate practical training from July 26 to 29, 2022.
The purpose of this practical training program is to provide
the opportunities for the students to think about their future career
development by letting the students know “the rigors of working at
an actual workplace” and “the worthwhileness of working in their
hometown of Numakuma as a member of society.
After the training, the students said, “I am surprised that so many
people are involved in the processes of shipbuilding.” “Welding is
more difficult than I thought it would be. After practicing,
I became gradually interested in it and wanted to experience more.”
“I have learned that it is important to be responsible for the work
because one mistake can bring work to a halt, and you will have to
start it all over again.”
We will continue to provide opportunities for local students to gain
work experience through corporate practical training and make
efforts to promote initiatives that contribute to the development
and vitalization of communities.
