On September 23, 2022, about 30 employee volunteers from TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING
and our Group companies participated in the cleanup activity in the area along the east
coast of the Ship Repair Factory from the beach near Ko’ogoshi Community Center to Utsumi Bridge.
The cleanup activity started in 2007 to support “UMIGOMI Zero WEEK” (Umigomi: “umi”
means ocean/sea, “gomi” means waste/trash in Japanese) organized by the Ministry of the
Environment and the Nippon Foundation.
It aims to raise environment conservation awareness and promote the prevention of
littering and illegal dumping of waste to make contribution to the beautification of
communities while creating a good working environment.
We will continue to work together with communities to contribute to the creation of a clean city.
