TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Group is committed to providing a safe workplace environment, in line with our basic philosophy of occupational health and safety “gives absolute priority to safety.
Tsuneishi Factory acquired ISO45001 Occupational health & safety management systems certification from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) in 2019, and the range of its application was also expanded to our ship repair factory in 2022.
In 2021, Tsuneishi Factory achieved the severity rate (*) of “0”. We will continue to strive for accident-free and disaster-free factory operation at each of our yard factories.

*Severity rate is a mathematical method of counting the number of working days lost because of employee absences caused by accidents in the workplace.The severity rate is calculated by adding the number of workdays lost, dividing the total number of hours actually working, and then multiplying 1,000.

<Main measures taken to promote health and safety>
・Strengthen risk assessment
・Update the health and safety policy annually and ensure to share it all over the company
・Set up the health and safety goals and strive for making further improvement by following PDCA cycle
  (KPI management)
・Carry out safety education and technical skill training
・Perform safety patrols regularly in the factory
・Organize internal slogan contest of health and safety and post the slogan adopted in the factory
・Conduct accident analyses and hold countermeasure meetings regularly
