At our factory in the Philippines (THI), the activities of mangrove planting and mountain tree planting are carried out annually by employee volunteers for the purpose of environmental conservation.
Owing to the tree planting activities for about 10 years, 90,000 mangrove trees and 37,400 saplings have been planted. Now there are lots of trees flourishing on the mountains of Balamban where our Cebu factory is located.
Although the trees are small now, we know that they will become very big trees and the mountains will be fully covered with lush green forest in 50 or 100 years.
