Contribute to local education by giving lectures to local junior high school students

On September 6, 2022, Tetsu Itabashi, Executive Officer of

TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING visited Fukuyama Municipal Shisei Junior

High School to give the students a lecture.

The students have been conducting the research on the theme of

the SDGs since their first grade. This lecture given by TSUNEISHI

SHIPBUILDING was conducted as part of the extracurricular learning

program for the third-grade students.

In the lecture, we introduced the SDGs and ESG initiatives that

TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING has engaged in its businesses. As the

third-year students, it is just the time for them to consider their future

roadmap, so they listened attentively and asked questions,4

showing great interest in the lecture.

Here are some questions from the students:

1) Regarding the SDGs’ 17 goals, what initiatives has

TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING conducted?

2) Please tell us the reasons why TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING

expanded the businesses overseas, such as the Philippines, etc.

3) Please give us some advice on what to learn in the future that will

help us make a good roadmap.

We will continue to provide opportunities for local students to learn

about our businesses and various initiatives to contribute to the

development and vitalization of communities.
