On August 3 2015, TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd. (head office: Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan) completed construction of “OCEAN MORNING”, a 58,000 metric ton bulk carrier, at Tsuneishi Factory TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd., and delivered her to ship owner.

This vessel is the group’s 160th TESS58 in the long-selling TESS (Tsuneishi Economical Standard Ship) product line, originated by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding 30 years ago, and is part of the HANDYMAX bulker series whose first ship was constructed in 2006.
In addition to being equipped with a deck crane, this ship features highly versatile capabilities to load not just bulk cargo but also steel and other materials. Designed as one of the larger ships in the highly maneuverable HANDYMAX series, “KELLET ISLAND” has a 58,000 ton loading capacity and is equipped with environmental devices to reduce wave resistance and wind resistance. She also features improved fuel economy for higher operating profitability.
