Completion of the 200th Ship in the TESS Series

June 25, 2007

Tsuneishi Holdings Corporation (Head Office: 1083 Tsuneishi Numakuma-cho Fukuyama city Hiroshima, CEO: Katsushige Kambara) completed the 200th ship in its TESS (Tsuneishi Economical Standard Ship) Series, Ship No.1339 (Deadweight capacity 52,000 tons, Bulk carrier, to CHIJIN SHIPPING S.A.) on June 25th at the Tsuneishi factory in Fukyuama city, Hiroshima.

The development of the TESS series began in 1981 as an effort to dramatically improve the economic efficiency and transport/loading capabilities of handy max type bulk carriers.

In 1984, we took initiative by completing the first 42,000 ton class (TESS40) bulk carrier. After that, we developed and built new models including a 45,000 ton class (TESS45), 52,000 ton class (TESS52), and 58,000 ton class (TESS58) which satisfied shipping market needs. Our work has been highly evaluated by many ship owners and users around the world (as well as in Japan) for more than 20 years.
