TESS development concept is "available
worldwide."
TESS can enter in any port in the world.
Highest priority is given to the customer's desire
for higher
economy.
Versatility defined as "capable of loading multiple
types of
cargoes" or "handy" is also a remarkable
point of TESS.
Many of the onboard equipment were selected in view
of achieving
a higher performance as a ship, which resulted in
the use of more
foreign made products than ever before.
TESS, Tsuneishi Economical Standard Ship, is a multipurpose
bulk
carrier capable of loading many types of cargoes,
developed in 1982
|
after our surveys on what types of
ships were favored from the owner / operators' point
of view.
The first TESS ship developed at that time was a 40,000
DWT bulk carrier that was the largst type among, the handy.
The basic concept of these TESS series ships has remained
unchanged except the capability of loading containers
that was excluded due to its need becoming smaller.
|
TESS lineups were expanded by adding
TESS45 (45,000 DWT) since 1993 and TESS52 (52,000
DWT) since 1999.
We have already delivered more than 100 TESS series
ships.
