There’s been a recent boom in Japan of books of photographs of massive structures, including “Kojo Moe (Factory Excitement),” “The Dam,” and “Housing Complex.” And now a photo book and DVD dedicated to shipbuilding sites is on sale in bookstores nationwide.

The photos and images appearing in the book and DVD were shot at the end of January, 2008 at the Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Company’s factory and the Tsuneishi Iron Works Company. Images of launch ceremonies and shipyard work will be of interest both to general readers and aficionados of massive structures.
