The ALMASI
The Naming and Launching Ceremony

May 24, 2001 At 10:25 am No. 1 Berth

Named the "ALMASI"

A champagne bottle hits the hull!

The ALMASI is one of our standard TESS52 series. After the rainstorm which had threatened to spoil the ceremony eased, the weather became cloudy but quiet. More than 150 people came from nearby nursery schools and an elementary school to witness the ceremony. They cheered as they watched the huge vessel slide down the berth.
