On Friday, March 7, 2003, the naming and launching ceremony of a 52,300-dwt bulk carrier for Albro Navigation Company Inc. was held at Tsuneishi Factory's No. 1 Berth. She was launched safely, watched over by her purchasers and Tsuneishi employees.
She then underwent outfitting for completion around mid-June 2003.

Characteristics
(1) This vessel is one of our TESS series.
(2) Each of the five cargo holds is equipped with a hydraulically driven folding hatch cover.
(3) Equipped with four hydraulic deck cranes and grab buckets for cargo handling at docks that lack loading facilities.
(4) The tank top inside the cargo hold is designed to be wide enough to allow easy loading and unloading of steel pipes and lumber. All the cargo holds can be loaded with two tiers of hot coils.
(5) Lumber can be loaded in cargo holds, on the upper deck and on the hatch covers.
(6) A fuel-efficient long-stroke MAN B&W 6S50MC is adopted as the main engine.
