Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Company began business in 1971 and has confidently followed the shipbuilder’s path ever since, employing more than 10,000 employees over the years, including our workers at overseas affiliates.
Recently, our competitors in such countries as South Korea and China are gaining a higher profile on the world market. One result of this has been intense pricing competition, which Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Company has coped with by means of an international strategy unique among Japanese middle and large scale shipbuilders, as seen in our dockyard constructions at Cebu in the Philippines since 1994 and in China since 2003.
With the goal of realizing our “Vision 2010”, our business plan through 2010, we are currently promoting the establishment of a new style of management for regulation compliance and internal control systems, as well as differentiation in developing new products with the environment in mind. We believe this will strengthen the cost-competitiveness of our shipbuilding.
Since the establishment of Tsuneishi Group in 1903, we’ve been proud to be members of a global team supporting physical distribution for the world markets, a role we’ve excelled in for over a century. At the same time, we’re intent on making a fresh beginning, shaping our future for the next 100 years as we continue to develop and offer superior products and services. Watch this space!
